Officially becoming a blogger...
I'm pretty sure my English teacher would laugh if she heard about this; but with the help of spelling and grammar check I should be a-okay. I always thought people who write blogs just have way too much to say and it's mainly about themselves, but to my satisfaction, this blog actually has a purpose, unlike people who post a picture on a blog and call
themselves a writer.

The purpose of this blog monitor the marketing strategies of two specific events.
Learning about marketing has been a whirlwind of excitement and has actually given me an insight on the strategies that are used to promote an event. The two events that I will be monitoring are MOVE IT 2012: A dance exhibition; and The National Wedding Show 2012.

Strictly, eat your heart out;
MOVE IT is a major dance exhibition 'bursting with plentiful dancing industry professionals.'
London Town Hotels
(2011).
It is going to be held on the 9-11th March at London's Olympia.
Whether you're a student, teacher, professional, or just generally a dance fanatic, this is the chance of a lifetime you will be  sure to pursue. To be involved in this major event of 2012, you should  be so lucky!

This event is classed as the biggest dance event of 2012  Over 20,000 dancers will be prancing around the London's Olympia for 3 days whilst having the ultimate dance experience!
Last years MOVE IT was a big success, here is a video of the dancers and their choreographers; this video shows the amount of effort that the dancers are putting into this competition and how appreciation they feel towards this art.

Weddings, the place of understanding women's craziness;
The National Wedding Show 2012 is a chance to unite a group of wedding fanatics and loopy mothers in laws to enjoy the beauty that is a wedding! The wedding show that I am focusing is will be held at Birmingham NEC between the 16-18th of March.
This wedding show is one of the UK's biggest events; it is able to bring together a community of people and create the most perfect day for them. The wedding show 'has over 250 suppliers with a host of inspirational features;' the show holds some of the largest UK suppliers which include the biggest wedding dress collection.
The National Wedding Show (2012)

Bridal shop brawl, why didn't they guy just alter her dress??
Pretty sure nothing like this happens at
The National Wedding Show.

  2. Hi Nicola - fun choices for events, but now you need to get some hard info in there, such as demographics. And don't forget to compare the two events and their marketing/PR styles. Best, Alex
